What is a Health Home?
At Riverside Medical Clinic, we’re committed to providing you and your loved ones with exceptional care in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere. Your Health Home is a relatively new concept designed to improve health through continuity of care. This entails regular follow-ups with your own doctor.
A smaller clinic with lower patient load ensures ease of booking and readily available future appointments. We also aim to provide well rounded complex care through our associated Primary Care Network nursing staff. We believe that our patients deserve the best possible care, and thus we aim to be your first point of call.
Whether you’re coming in for a simple checkup or a more complex treatment regimen, our dedicated team of health practitioners has the skills and resources to manage all your health needs. We can’t wait to help you feel better today. Call us first!

Updated September 2019
It is with mixed emotions that Drs Anienne and Matthew Marsay are announcing their departure from active practice in Medicine Hat, effective 20 December 2019.
We are moving to Port Alberni, Vancouver island to be nearer to family.
We are fortunate to have Dr Ockert Kruger moving to Riveriside Medical Clinic as of January 2020. If his panel size allow it, he is willing to take over the medical care of some of our patients. Our PCN Nurse, Shawna Pasiciel, is planning to stay on with the clinic.
Patients may book a "to meet" appointment with Dr Kruger in the new year or alternately look for a new family doctor. Physicians accepting new patients can be found at www.palliserpcn.ca. Your medical records will remain at the clinic until your written authorization is received to transfer them to another physician. There is an administration fee of $35 associated with this request.
We will still be working full time at the clinic and in the hospital (as part of group E) until our departure date.
We would like to thank all of our patients for allowing us to be part of their medical team. We will forever be grateful for the wonderful years spent in Medicine Hat.
We wish you all the best for the future.
Drs Anienne and Matthew Marsay
DID YOU KNOW?
Updated January 2017
Our basic medical visits are 10 minutes long. This is in keeping with the Alberta average. Some appointments, like physicals and biopsies are booked for 20 minutes. This may seem short but it does not include time spent registering, doing investigations or moving between offices. Your face time with your doctor is important so please arrive early and respect the time of patients booked after you. In this way we try to accommodate as many people as possible and also have a shorter wait time until the next available appointment. Please try and arrive 15 mins before a normal visit and 30 mins before a physical. This allows time for registering, vitals signs and rooming before your appointment starts.
